Zamboni 650
Zamboni Company Introduces New Machine Series and the Model 650
The Zamboni Company has introduced an entirely new series to its line of ice resurfacing machines. The 600 Series makes its debut with the Zamboni Model 650 electric ice resurfacer.
The Model 650 was designed by a team of engineers driven by a global perspective and is a culmination of more than sixty years of experience and industry leadership. The 600 Series brings a bold new look which, though familiar, features a dramatically different aesthetic. The Model 650 retains the best features of the 500 Series machines, while establishing a new standard with its innovative technologies and operational enhancements.
The Model 650 incorporates a chassis with a “clean sheet design” to accommodate high capacity battery options. Next generation brushless AC motors and controls combined with a proven and powerful battery system provide the endurance demanded by the industry’s toughest applications. Excellent snow capacity and compaction along with energy efficient LED lighting and an automatic snow breaker are just some of the advantages of the new 650.
The ergonomics of the operator area have been reimagined with a focus on the safety and comfort of the driver.
Key features of the Model 650
Engineered to challenge expectations, the 650’s sleek fiberglass body is well-suited for the tough environment it will call home. The intelligent design of its chassis allows ease of access and strategic placement of interior components. Innovative subsystems offer efficiencies while maintaining maximum operating power.
Battery and Charger
The new 650 uses industry-proven lead acid batteries. The reengineered chassis accommodates a larger heavy-duty battery capacity option up to 770Ah, with microprocessor controlled chargers for long battery life. Increased battery capacity options afford additional resurfacings.
Drivetrain
Four-wheel-drive with rugged Dana Spicer axles offers an industry leading load bearing capacity. The 650 is powered by a 24 hp AC traction motor.
Construction
Structural steel chassis accommodates a variety of high capacity batteries. Sculpted fiberglass body panels are rigid and rust-free. Corrosion-proof fiberglass body panels provide easy access to systems and components. A redesigned distribution of weight provides additional down pressure to the conditioner. Snow tank window placement allows the operator to monitor snow transfer while seated. The redesigned operator area focuses on safety, comfort and ease of operation and a lower height clearance for snow tank operation
Hydraulics
11 hp AC pump motor. The efficiently redesigned hydraulic system provides optimum power and reduced energy consumption for a smooth and consistent operation.
Electronic Controls
Dependable Sevcon Gen 4 AC controls. On-dash diagnostics provide real-time information with troubleshooting capabilities.
Zamboni is a leader in ice resurfacing technology and remains the overwhelming choice for ice arena operators. In the continuing legacy of its founder, Frank Zamboni, the Zamboni Company works to apply industrial science, proven performance, and future technologies to manufacture the best ice resurfacing machines for rinks and arenas throughout the world.
